Learn more about Lucas Oil Stabilizer
What Is Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer?
Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer is a 100% petroleum product developed and perfected through thousands of hours of laboratory and field testing. Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer is a specially formulated blend of premium oils plus a variety of petroleum-extracted additives, blended together to make one product that will meet several needs at one time, within an engine or gear box. It safely blends with all petroleum products including synthetic oil and gear oil as well as engine oil.
Lucas Heavy Duty or Lucas Pure Synthetic Oil Stabilizer?
Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer is formulated for newer vehicles with tighter tolerances and any vehicle where synthetic oils are mandated by the manufacturer. Newer vehicles are also being designed to use lighter weight oils to increase fuel mileage. Light weight synthetic oils offer more protection to these vehicles. Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer gives that extra edge of protection for vehicles using synthetic oil. Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer is recommended for engines or gear boxes with a significant amount of wear.

What can Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer do for my vehicle?
Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer eliminates dry starts and wear in your engine. It extends oil life and lowers the oil temperature in any engine, gas or diesel. It raises oil pressure, reduces smoking, leaking, knocking, and blow-by in worn engines. It also helps to control noise, overheating, leaks, and wear in gear boxes.
For vehicles such as motor homes, farm equipment, construction equipment, boats, or military equipment, Lucas Oil Stabilizer is essential. It protects these vehicles from rust, corrosion, and dry starts caused by long periods of non-use.
Oil change intervals can be extended by at least 50-100% thus paying for the product and making all of the other benefits a bonus. Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer safeguards engines, bearings, and gears from being ruined by overheating.
Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer causes the entire oil mixture to become much slicker than oil alone. This reduction of friction reduces the temperature of the oil mixture and allows your engine and gear box to use less energy.
We used to open our engine up every race to check for damage and wear. Since we started using Lucas 20-50 Plus Racing Oil and Lucas Oil Stabilizer we have cut our engine tear-downs in half and have noticed no visible wear during our racing season. Our engine builder even commented on the lack of detectable engine wear when we did our end of season examination. We are very pleased with Lucas products.

How does Lucas Oil Stabilizer work?
Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer seals the cylinders in your engine to keep oil from going up to be burned. It also keeps the contaminants of the combustion chamber from coming down to prematurely ruin the oil. By controlling blow-by and dry starts, the life of an already worn engine can be extended significantly.
The additives in Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer cause it to resist viscosity breakdown (thinning), retain its lubricity, and shear stability. The combination of these characteristics is what protects your vehicle in normal and severe conditions.
I used to burn 2 quarts of oil in my Chevy pickup on a 4 hour drive. One cylinder in the truck was in very bad shape. I added Lucas Oil Stabilizer and the oil burning stopped. I am sold on Lucas Oil Stabilizer.

We had a car that would not pass the emissions test after a complete tuneup and adjustment. We changed the oil and added a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer. The car passed the emissions test.

How much Lucas Oil Stabilizer do I need?
Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer can be used as follows:
-
Engines: approximately 20% of the oil mixture, usually one quart per oil change
-
Badly worn engines: use up to 60 or 80% if necessary.
-
Manual transmissions: 25 - 50%
-
Differentials: 50-100%
-
Transfer Cases: 50-100%
-
Wet clutches 10%
Important Note: A quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer is used in place of a quart of oil. Do not overfill your vehicle by adding an extra quart of stabilizer. The best time to add Lucas oil stabilizer is when you change your oil. If you have a worn engine that burns or leaks oil and is down a quart of oil on the dipstick, then you may add a quart of stabilizer.
